Bonaan: copied e.g.g. info from player-ad

The Dragon Egg of [[Map 12]] was captured by the community less than 3 hours after the start of the map. It is now owned and held by E.G.G, a group with the goal of making the egg more public this map. We plan to do this with Egg Events.

Essentially, if you were to have the Dragon Egg and had to give it away, what would you do? A minigame? A treasure hunt? Sell it? The most fun and community engaging idea will win. That player will be given the Dragon Egg and, within the next 1-2 months, will have to somehow pass on the egg to its next owner. The next player would then have 1-2 months to pass on the egg, and so on.

This is a very simple explanation of the idea, and there will most definitely be more rules in place.

== Reviewing areas ==

There are a few things to keep in mind when checking claim requests, they do not have to be done in the same order as listed below.

To start, you will have to check <code>/stafftasks</code> and type <code>/area review area_name</code>

=== Normal review steps ===

Steps to take when reviewing an area request:
* Visualise the area (by clicking on "Visualise" in the area review)
* Check if the player trying to claim the area with a build, also made it. This can be done easily with <code>/co inspect</code> and clicking a few blocks. If the person that requested the claim is a person you trusted and know are non-nabby, you can skip this step. Or if you know/see that they are friends with the builder.
* Check for nearby claims/builds, by doing one or more of:
** <code>/area near 250</code>
** Using freecam (mod), also check underground
** Flying around
* Take a look at the build itself:
** Is there enough built in the claim?
** Is the claim size is too big/too small?

If you aren't too confident with your judgement you can always ask other deputies or staff.

Exceptions: If the person requesting to claim the area isn't the one who built in it you can always ask the players or see if they are friends. (asking one of them is enough)

=== Spawn/Shopping district ===
Builds near other claims/builds at spawn usually get approved if the other important aspects are met, this is if the claim does not overlap with any other important builds or any claims.

For the shopping district, if the plot is owned by the person claiming it (and has paid for it of course), it should get approved. Even if they haven't built anything yet.

=== Special cases ===

* Area inside another area: decline it and explain how to make a subclaim in the deny message
* Town claims: make sure it's the owner of the town and if possible do it while they are online. (remind them to add the players)
* Crafting table/furnace/chest/bed, if that's everything they are trying to claim deny it and remind them of private signs.
* If they messed up claiming their plot, you can always do <code>/redefinearea</code> before approving it.

After you have [[Server_guide/Protecting_an_area|set up an area]] you are able to modify certain aspects of it.

== Adding users ==
To add a user to your area, use the command <code>/area adduser <area name> <user name></code>. This will allow that user to build and interact with the area as normal.

If the user is someone you trust you may wish to make them a manager of the area, using the command <code>/area addmanager <area name> <user name></code>. Area managers are able to add users, but cannot create additional managers. This is useful for towns and shared bases as it allows other users to join while the owner is offline.

=== Special users ===

In addition to players, it is possible to add someone's entire friends list, or even entire [[Ranks|groups]].

To add the friends list of a player, use <code>Friends:<player name></code> as the user, for example: <code>/area adduser my_house Friends:froobynooby</code> will allow any friends of froobynooby to use the area.

To add a group to an area, use <code>Group:<group name></code> as the user, for example: <code>/area adduser my_shop Group:loyalist</code> will allow Loyalists and above to use the area. Adding a group as a user can be useful for shops that do not want to be stolen from by new players.

== Adding and removing flags ==
Flags control what is able to happen within an area. For example, an area with the <code>no-build</code> flag will not allow players to build there unless they are a user of that area.

You can add flags to an area you own using the command <code>/area addflag <area name> <flag name></code>, and remove them using the command <code>/area remflag <area name> <flag name></code>.

The default flags are <code>no-build</code>, <code>no-interact</code>, <code>no-fire-spread</code>, <code>no-fire-destroy</code> and <code>no-explode</code>.

Removing the flags for fire spread and destruction may be useful for players needing to clear an area of trees. Similarly, removing the flag for explosions can be useful for allowing automatic farms with blast chambers to work.

There is a special flag for subareas: <code>inherit-users</code>. Enabling this flag will allow users from the parent area to also access the subarea.

The monument is a project started by [[wyretm]] to dedicate a memorial to the 3 years past on the [[Map 11|11th map]] of FroobWorld

Among multiple notable map arts, signatures, and items there is also 5 beacons constructed on each of the pillars of pure netherite.
Many players assisted in contributing towards the monument, and others came to write their name down. The names can be found in the center underneath the tree, which includes but is not limited to; [[Wyretm|wyretm]], [[Twitchjeroenmee]], [[EvilDrBA]], [[Bonaan|bonaan]], [[Illumnex]], & [[MajorSlushie]]

Construction of the monument began {{#dateformat:1 mar 2025}}, and concluded on {{#dateformat:1 jun 2025}}

To build all 5 beacons it requires 29,520 of both gold and ancient debris in order to complete it. Put another way that is 118,080 Diamonds in value.

== What was Fish Tower? ==

* Fish Tower was a tower built by [[TheInsomniacFish]].
* The Tower, build entirely of cobbled stone, had a wooden throne inside, which fish would sit on during the explosion.
** They were strapped to it with TNT (refer to image 3).

== Fish Tower Destruction ==

* On the 8th of August, 2024, the destruction of Fish Tower commenced. This was a huge event, as many had grown to hate the cobblestone eye-sore.
** People were offering diamonds to fish to demolish the building.

* Leading this demolition, was player [[Meekiale]]. Meek also provided the TNT, and claimed the area to allow for explosions.

== The Aftermath ==

* The aftermath of the Fish Tower demolition was a mix of happiness, and sadness. For fish, he had gotten 10 diamonds out if it, but lost (one of) his greatest creations. Others cheered as this cobblestone abomination had been ruining their views and lowering property values.

* In its place, a small cobblestone fish was built. A memorial to that which once was.
