bonaan joined froobworld on the 9th of June 2024 in [[Map 11]] - during the quiet hours of froobworld, when nobody else was online. He wandered around spawn for a few minutes looking at shops, got killed by a zombie and then left. He did not return for 2 weeks.

Bonaan first started playing Minecraft in 2011 when he was asked by friends to join them on a factions PVP server. However once he'd gotten a hang of the game and was geared up he mostly ignored the war and instead focused on mastering redstone - the first large contraption he designed was a combination lock.

He has since been admin on a few different smaller servers, mainly helping out with plugins and general server operations.

In 2024 one of those servers got a new group of players - they were talking about Froobworld. He got interested in the semi-vanilla concept and joined, finding it refreshing with a server that didn't have pay-to-win, economy or other excessive plugins.
Once he'd played a bit and saw how good the community and staff was he got hooked.

=== Map 11 ===

Bonaan first settled somewhere near the eastern border of the map, digging down to mine for resources and created a small underground storage room and crop farms. He slowly geared up and gathered enough diamonds to purchase an elytra.

When roaming the shopping district looking for the elytra, he ran into [[_A_sly_Potato_]], who was able to sell him the elytra. Bonaan and Sly joined at roughly the same time and have been friends on the server since.

Once froobworld updated to 1.21, he knew that he wanted to make use of the new Crafter. He went out to search for an unclaimed witch hut in order to make a farming district based around redstone and automatic crafters. He found a witch hut in the older parts of the map and this eventually became his permanent base.

With the other new addition in 1.21 being trial chambers, bonaan saw an opportunity to fill an untapped market - trial keys and breeze rods. He designed and built his own trial farm spanning three cleared out trial chambers, connected by rail through the nether.

Bonaan opened up a shop at [[Spawn_Town_9|spawn]], first iteration being a house featuring lots of copper and then later redesigned to look like a shulker. The shop was selling shulker shells, redstone components, trial keys, potions and more.<br>
The shulker shop has always been <strike>white</strike> <strike>red</strike> <strike>pink</strike> <strike>cyan</strike> <strike>black</strike> <strong>rainbow colored</strong>.

Around january of 2025, bonaan and another player opened up the shop [[Mojave]] on the outskirts of the town [[Crateris]]. Bonaan built an advanced redstone ordering and pricing system. You would order items in bulk by selecting what you wanted from a barrel, the items would be packaged up into shulker boxes and delivered to the front of the store. In addition a redstone lamp display would show how many diamonds to pay.

Bonaan was the third player to join [[Map 12]], after [[froobynooby]] and [[EvilDrBA]]. He, together with other members of [[E.G.G.]] and players of the server planned to quickly go for killing the dragon and claiming the dragon egg in the name of the community.

He started out settling near spawn, making a small house at 0,0 (it still doesn't have a roof) and set off into the mines to gear up. Some time later that day, after the dragon fight, bonaan and [[EvilDrBA]] was scouting for a village to set up a small industrial area. They ran into [[GPRO678]] and [[ThaTallDude]] and the 4 of them decided to settle a village together. The group became known as BEGT (after their initials).

After a few weeks, bonaan wanted to start on a base of his own. He talked a bit to his friend [[EemilSepp]] and decided to settle in a lush cave underneath Eemil's base. Those plans later changed when bonaan and [[ThaTallDude]] decided to make a base together instead.

It was around the time I got [[Ranks#trusted|trusted]] when I heard about and noticed some issues with the plugin. I found a link to the code in the wiki and dug in - at first wanting to get an understanding of how it worked and fix things that annoyed me. One example of early fixes was the /rtp command - it used to either fail half the time, put you inside powdered snow or on top of a giant map art in the middle of the ocean.

My favorite moment was a year ago, at the map reset. The end of map 11 was a really enjoyable moment together with many of the people I've gotten to know, then there was a few hours of downtime for the reset where a lot of us sat together in discord - formulating plans on how to get the dragon egg. Once the server opened again for the map 12, the race was on and there was a whole new world to explore.

[[Map 12]]'s 1st Birthday occurred on the 28th of June 2026 to mark the one year anniversary since the reset from [[Map 11]]. It was an accumulation of player efforts and contributions from all over the server with 2 major events occuring alongside a special edition release from the Froobian Times. The Froobworld player limit was infact increased by [[froobynooby]] on this day (curtosy of [[Jaron_the_Marmot]]) to accomodate the influx of players attending the events.

==The PvP for the Dragon Egg==
The most major event on this day was the PvP tournament hosted by [[entity606o]] within the [[New Harfell]] Colleseum, that would allow the winner to permanently take hold of the Map's Dragon Egg.

Upwards of 16 people were in attendance for the event, making it one of the largest community events hosted on the server. With notable Staff members and Veterans alike such as [[Boghill]], [[Jaron_the_Marmot]], [[SunnyDazed]], [[EvilDrBA]], [[ThaTallDude]], [[_Auburn]] and many more (feel free to add ur name here if you PvP'd!) all taking part in the tournament the event became a large success with the winner ultimately being [[EvilDrBA]] thus allowing him to secure the dragon egg.

==The New Harfell 2nd Ren Faire==
The 2nd [[New Harfell]] Ren Faire occured on [[Map 12]]'s Birthday alongside the PvP tournament. It offered various cheap prices for items such as Netherite Ingots or [[bonaan]]'s Emeralds. It also offered free [[New Harfell]] merchandise such as shields, banners and dyed armour. Some stands such as [[_Deuuce]]'s gave away diamonds in exchange for player written books.

Addtionally alongside it the Dark Auction within the [[New Harfell]] sewers took place with rare and exotic mobs from all over Froobworld lead by the Auction Master [[entity606o]].

===The Froobian Times Birthday Special===
On this day alongside the major server wide events [[The Froobian Times]] released a Special Edition Issue 7 to celebrate [[Map 12]] thus far. Featuring interview from Staff members such as [[Jaron_the_Marmot]] and [[bonaan]] alongside a text written by [[Allen43]]. It also included various news stories about the upcoming events mentioned above and [[The Froobian Times]] player of the month.

The Nab Wars

The Nab Wars, was a conflict that separated the server into 2 distinct sides as a part of the 2026 April fools event setup by the server admins. It began on 1 April 2026 and continued until 5 April. Ultimately team frob were victorious in the Nab Wars.

== Overview ==
The two sides were separated and named after admins, team frob named after [[froobynooby]] and team chof after [[TheChief13]].

The event gave players opportunities to earn points for their respective team by killing select mobs that differed in how many points they rewarded when killed. A teams total points were equal to all the points contributed from the members of that respective team.

Additionally a "Top Online" leaderboard showed the players online who had contributed the most points towards their team.

Players had a 50/50 chance to be separated to either side upon joining the server during the Nab Wars period (presumably [[froobynooby]] and [[TheChief13]] were exempt of this).

The player with the highest concurrent points was: BadaDroid (team frob) with 400000 points.

== Timeline ==
April 1st (the first 24 hours): Unexpectedly, the Nab Wars began. Although team chof began at a slight disadvantage, they fought hard to maintain their score, although they were still quite a far distance behind the frobs.

April 2nd: The start of the second day began with team frob maintaining a strong lead until a discovery was made that ultimately changed the fate of the entire war. This was the simple line of code that allowed for points to be taken away from either side, respectively, if they killed the target mobs whilst AFK.

April 3rd: Notably, by the beginning of the 3rd day, team chof had now taken over the lead by a large amount with the help of the new AFK strategy, although team frob began realising they could also use the tactic to their advantage.

April 4th: The fourth and final 24 hours of the war gave a wide opening for team frob to take the victory out of the hands of the chofs. The war concluded on the 4th day, and Froobworld returned to its original state.

Team frob and team chof both went to negative points in the war (notably team chof finished in the negatives.)

Bonaan: copied e.g.g. info from player-ad

The Dragon Egg of [[Map 12]] was captured by the community less than 3 hours after the start of the map. It is now owned and held by E.G.G, a group with the goal of making the egg more public this map. We plan to do this with Egg Events.

Essentially, if you were to have the Dragon Egg and had to give it away, what would you do? A minigame? A treasure hunt? Sell it? The most fun and community engaging idea will win. That player will be given the Dragon Egg and, within the next 1-2 months, will have to somehow pass on the egg to its next owner. The next player would then have 1-2 months to pass on the egg, and so on.

This is a very simple explanation of the idea, and there will most definitely be more rules in place.

There are a few things to keep in mind when checking claim requests, they do not have to be done in the same order as listed below.

To start, you will have to check <code>/stafftasks</code> and type <code>/area review area_name</code>

Steps to take when reviewing an area request:
* Visualise the area (by clicking on "Visualise" in the area review)
* Check if the player trying to claim the area with a build, also made it.<br>This can be done easily with <code>/co inspect</code> and clicking a few blocks.<br>If the person that requested the claim is a person you trusted and know are non-nabby, you can skip this step.<br>Or if you know/see that they are friends with the builder.
* Check for nearby claims/builds, by doing one or more of:
** <code>/area near 250</code>
** Using freecam (mod), also check underground
** Flying around
* Take a look at the build itself:
** Is there enough built in the claim?
** Is the claim size is too big/too small?

If you aren't too confident with your judgement you can always ask other deputies or staff.

Exceptions: If the person requesting to claim the area isn't the one who built in it you can always ask the players or see if they are friends. (asking one of them is enough)

Builds near other claims/builds at spawn usually get approved if the other important aspects are met, this is if the claim does not overlap with any other important builds or any claims.

* Area inside another area: decline it and explain how to make a subclaim in the deny message

After you have [[Server_guide/Protecting_an_area|set up an area]] you are able to modify certain aspects of it.

== Adding users ==
To add a user to your area, use the command <code>/area adduser <area name> <user name></code>. This will allow that user to build and interact with the area as normal.

If the user is someone you trust you may wish to make them a manager of the area, using the command <code>/area addmanager <area name> <user name></code>. Area managers are able to add users, but cannot create additional managers. This is useful for towns and shared bases as it allows other users to join while the owner is offline.

In addition to players, it is possible to add someone's entire friends list, or even entire [[Ranks|groups]].

To add the friends list of a player, use <code>Friends:<player name></code> as the user, for example: <code>/area adduser my_house Friends:froobynooby</code> will allow any friends of froobynooby to use the area.

To add a group to an area, use <code>Group:<group name></code> as the user, for example: <code>/area adduser my_shop Group:loyalist</code> will allow Loyalists and above to use the area. Adding a group as a user can be useful for shops that do not want to be stolen from by new players.

== Adding and removing flags ==
Flags control what is able to happen within an area. For example, an area with the <code>no-build</code> flag will not allow players to build there unless they are a user of that area.

You can add flags to an area you own using the command <code>/area addflag <area name> <flag name></code>, and remove them using the command <code>/area remflag <area name> <flag name></code>.

The default flags are <code>no-build</code>, <code>no-interact</code>, <code>no-fire-spread</code>, <code>no-fire-destroy</code> and <code>no-explode</code>.

Removing the flags for fire spread and destruction may be useful for players needing to clear an area of trees. Similarly, removing the flag for explosions can be useful for allowing automatic farms with blast chambers to work.

There is a special flag for subareas: <code>inherit-users</code>. Enabling this flag will allow users from the parent area to also access the subarea.

The monument is a project started by [[wyretm]] to dedicate a memorial to the 3 years past on the [[Map 11|11th map]] of FroobWorld

Among multiple notable map arts, signatures, and items there is also 5 beacons constructed on each of the pillars of pure netherite.
Many players assisted in contributing towards the monument, and others came to write their name down. The names can be found in the center underneath the tree, which includes but is not limited to; [[Wyretm|wyretm]], [[Twitchjeroenmee]], [[EvilDrBA]], [[Bonaan|bonaan]], [[Illumnex]], & [[MajorSlushie]]

Construction of the monument began {{#dateformat:1 mar 2025}}, and concluded on {{#dateformat:1 jun 2025}}
