Spidey4088 is a player on FroobWorld who joined on December 11th, 2023 and is currently ranked as a Veteran. Spidey4088 began play on Map 11 with his real-life partner ThickBruce at this same time. They have acted as a pair in Minecraft for the past two years, having this two year play-time anniversary very recently in Map 12. Although there have been short hiatuses and times of struggle, the two players have remained largely active throughout their time on the server.

ThickBruce and I had been searching for a vanilla survival server with good people for some time. We wanted a server where we could trust other people and work with them, but also have enough room for privacy. FroobWorld was the perfect server for us, especially with the very helpful Dynmap that we still use today to locate our neighbors or get another perspective of our own builds. Map 11 also had an amazing central spawn that gave the proper amount of organization for what we needed.

In Map 11, the two of us were located to the far south of the map in a region dominated by birch and dark oak biomes. In this area, we found a small cherry island, roughly 500x500, with snowy mountains to the north. We quickly found roles together, with ThickBruce mining and supplying all resources for me to create as I pleased. Still, occasionally, the roles would switch, I would encourage ThickBruce to experiment with building on her own as I collected the resources. Together, we quickly formed a great starter base of a wizard tower, farm, and windmill on our cherry island. Eventually, we took on a large project to build a roughly 120 block long stone bridge across the river surrounding the island, connecting to the mountains to the north. After almost a month of gameplay, we finished the project. On this side, a large terraforming project began, melding the mountains with the bridge. Then, building began with a small church being designed, torn down, and redesigned tens of times before eventually settling on one for the time being. We quickly moved on for our vision project of the area, building a dark pagoda of spruce and dark oak, and deepslate and blackstone, but highlighted with a huge cherry tree growing straight through the middle and flowing its crown out the top. Although we had previously thought that the bridge may be the crown jewel of our projects, never to be surpassed, it turned out that this pagoda was much more of a project. The pagoda was a project for over a year, with work off and on, taking breaks when needed, but was ultimately finished near the beginning of 2025. However, unfortunately, the cherry tree that burst from the pagoda would not be finished before the Map 11 reset, moving to Map 12.

Unfortunately, we failed here too, as we never collected enough eyes of ender. Before the reset, we took one more look around at what we had made, and said goodbye, hoping to return again but also to start anew and even better.

At this point, we began our basemaking, with ThickBruce mining and myself building once again. We created a large mansion that is still in progress today as well as a few artificial trees and a pond that are also a work in progress. In truth, these remain incomplete as we then reprised our previous bridge project in Map 11, this time doubling the width, length, and height, this time bridging over 250 blocks to the south. This bridge was quicker as we had done it before, but it was still a large project, using over 10,000 blocks of stone. Eventually, we also created four large windmills to the east of our base, which we have not finished, but do work towards finishing each and every day. We have also created our first shop on Froobworld, with renovations still in progress.
