Overview
The Rainbow Sheep Shop Corruption refers to the sudden chunk reset of the Rainbow Sheep Shop when the chunk containing the shop reset back to the original seed terrain. The shop known for its colorful sheep theme and map art briefly vanished when the server regenerated the chunk that held the build. At least the majority of it was consumed by this chunk.
What Happened
At some point during normal server operation the chunk containing the shop reverted to its original generated terrain. When a chunk resets like this all builds, and containers inside that 16×16 block area are removed and replaced with the terrain the world originally generated from the seed.
The reset affected only one chunk leaving surrounding builds untouched. Purposely targeting the majestic Rainbow Sheep Shop.
Cause
Corrupted chunk data inside this chunk for unknown reason so server reset it.
Resolution
Server owner Froobynooby investigated the issue and successfully restored the lost chunk. This likely involved retrieving the chunk data from a backup.
