Rubius_Caesar, or Ruben, is a player on FroobWorld who joined on September 7th, 2025 and currently holds the rank of Veteran. He originally joined under the username Ruben_DP, which he had used since he first began playing Minecraft, but changed it to Rubius_Caesar on September 21st, 2025 to align with his username on other platforms. Map 12 is his first map on the server. He is known for a multitude of things, chiefly his building expertise and silly demeanor. Ruben is the Steward and Chief Architect of Grayhaven, and a designer of the upcoming game Bogged Out.
Biography
Ruben has been playing Minecraft since 2010, having witnessed firsthand nearly every transformation the game has gone through. In his early days, he bounced between random survival servers, wandering through half-finished spawn hubs and questionable economy plugins. For the last decade, however, his time in Minecraft was spent intermittently—joining whatever server his friends spun up, experimenting with modpacks, or disappearing into creative mode to build elaborate structures that no one else would ever see.
Recently, however, real life took an unexpected turn. After a sudden barrage of phone calls from various collection agencies, Ruben discovered that a mysterious conglomerate known only as CatCorp had purchased his remaining student loans. Their terms were… unusual. Instead of demanding repayment, CatCorp “requested” that he join a survival server known as FroobWorld and construct a magnificent town—as well as several other large-scale projects—in their honor.
Whether this is some avant-garde debt-repayment program or a front for something stranger remains unclear. What is clear is that Ruben now finds himself once again in survival Minecraft—gathering resources, building infrastructure, and taking over the sand market—all under the watchful, corporate gaze of CatCorp.
The Early Days
Ruben’s first moments on the server were both intriguing and immensely confusing. Many things had changed since he had last played in survival; new blocks, new features, and new items by the dozen. After being intrigued by another player’s announcement that they had found a unique and uninhabited spot on the map, he soon found himself in a frozen mountain range situated on the far western edge of the world. His only neighbors were the dwindling population of nearby villagers and the half-finished base of a player who had gone inactive weeks prior.
Spending his first few days in the caves below, he emerged chock-full of resources—stone of all types, a mountain of ores, and even enough diamonds to craft his first set of tools. It wasn’t long before he somehow convinced two other newcomers, HomeInvasion and 7807, to join him in the frigid peaks that would soon become Grayhaven.
While his new compatriots embarked on their own caving adventures, Ruben dedicated himself to constructing a grand and magnificent castle—a structure that seemed to grow larger every time he switched between his creative build world and the server. Eventually resigning himself to making it an extravagant palace instead, Ruben spent the better part of two weeks placing blocks nonstop.
The Age of Grayhaven
After noticing the lack of communal amenities—and upon the repeated requests of his fellow townsfolk, whose numbers seemed to grow by the day—Ruben took an extended break from Palace construction (which remains partially unfinished to this day). Instead, he turned his efforts toward building the town itself. Starting with a modest Town Hall, he quickly moved on to other structures: a post office, a town square, and the initial roadways.
Around this time CatCorp dispatched their first squad of employees, sent to both occupy and administer the town as well as ensure Ruben was not violating their agreement.
Realizing the scale of some of his earlier builds, especially the overly large post office, Ruben returned to the drawing board and designed a new, larger, and more extravagant Town Hall, situated in a clearing he had earmarked for future expansion. Upon its completion, he quickly capitalized on the new space by constructing a magnificent bank and the headquarters of the Grayhaven Trading Company, the premier shop run by the town, for the town.
With the key buildings complete, Ruben continued expanding the settlement—establishing the beginnings of a shopping district behind the bank. Early shops included a pet store, a blacksmith, a bakery, a jewelry shop, and a tavern.
Though originally the sole builder of Grayhaven, new residents like B00FUMZ became vital contributors, adding homes, scenery, and landscaping that Ruben never had time to work on. Each new addition to the town brought more CatCorp representatives, ready to inhabit and administer the builds he created.
Most important among them was Mayor Cheese, who managed to win Grayhaven’s first election—and whose first official act was to ban elections. She now resides on a throne in the Town Hall and has instituted a fish tax for all residents.
Ruben’s most recent addition to the town is Castle Grayhaven, a personal residence built primarily to avoid sleeping outdoors and to serve as a centralized location for material storage.
