Server guide/Town portals
This is a guide on how to request a portal for your town. Portals allow players to quickly travel to and from different towns on the server via the portal hub.
Requesting a portal
Players are able to request a portal to be set up for their town, providing convenient travel for themselves and other players.
Eligibility criteria
For a town to be eligible for a portal, it must meet certain criteria. The town should:
- Have several residents.
- Include shared infrastructure such as roads, community buildings, or farms.
- Have an information board or book with details about the town and how to join.
- Generally look like a town and show some effort in its construction.
These criteria are subjective and will be reviewed by an admin. The town does not necessarily need to meet all the criteria, but the reviewing admin must be convinced that it is genuinely a town.
Submitting a request
To request a portal for your town, you need to submit a ticket using the /modreq
command.
Follow these steps to request a portal:
- Stand at the location in your town where you want the portal to be set up. Ensure this spot has a portal platform already made up (a 2x2 or 3x3 platform where players will be teleported from when they stand on it).
- Think of a name for your town.
- Use the
/modreq
command to submit your request, including the name of your town in the message.
Your request will be reviewed by an admin. If approved, the admin will set up the portal and grant the town owner permission to the portal hub so they can decorate the entry portal.
